DeskFi is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or any other financial regulatory body. DeskFi is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner.

DeskFi is an information technology service that provides AI-generated research and analysis tools. It does not carry on any regulated activities under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.

2. Not Financial Advice

Nothing on DeskFi constitutes financial advice or a personal recommendation. All content including but not limited to: AI-generated analysis, research ideas, allocation suggestions, conviction scores, ratings, sentiment analysis, stress tests, and comps analysis are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

The content provided by DeskFi does not take into account your individual financial circumstances, objectives, or needs. It should not be relied upon as a basis for making investment decisions.

3. Capital at Risk

The value of investments can go down as well as up. You may receive back less than your original investment. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results and should not be relied upon as the main basis for an investment decision.

Investing in equities, ETFs, and other financial instruments involves risk, including the potential loss of your entire investment. You should only invest money that you can afford to lose.

4. AI-Generated Content

DeskFi uses artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) to generate analysis and research content. You should be aware that:

  • AI can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. AI models can and do make errors, including factual errors about companies, financial data, and market conditions.
  • AI-generated content has not been reviewed by a qualified financial adviser or any regulated professional.
  • AI-generated scores, ratings, and conviction levels are algorithmic outputs, not professional opinions. They should not be treated as buy, sell, or hold recommendations.
  • You should independently verify any information before making investment decisions.

5. No Automated Trading

DeskFi connects to Trading 212 using a read-only API key to display your portfolio data. DeskFi does not and cannot execute trades, place orders, or make any changes to your brokerage account. All investment decisions and trade executions are made solely by you through your own brokerage account.

6. Third-Party Data

DeskFi displays data sourced from third-party providers including Trading 212 and Finnhub. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any third-party data. Market data may be delayed. DeskFi is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Trading 212 or any other brokerage.

7. Your Responsibilities

By using DeskFi, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions
  • You will not rely on DeskFi content as financial advice
  • You will conduct your own research before making any investment
  • You understand and accept the risks of investing, including loss of capital
  • If you are unsure about any investment, you will seek independent financial advice from a qualified, FCA-authorised professional

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeskFi and its operators shall not be liable for any losses, damages, costs, or expenses (whether direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise) arising from your use of the service or any investment decisions made in connection with content provided by DeskFi.

This includes but is not limited to: trading losses, lost profits, loss of opportunity, or any financial loss of any kind, whether or not such loss was foreseeable.

9. Seek Professional Advice

If you are unsure about whether an investment is appropriate for your situation, you should seek advice from an independent financial adviser authorised by the FCA. You can find a regulated adviser through the FCA Register at register.fca.org.uk.
